Pharmacy System Project Manager

Role: Pharmacy – Retail System Project Manager, Consultant

The Informatics Group is searching for a consultant for a 12+ month consulting opportunity in the Virginia area.

Position Overview:

Replacement of an existing Outpatient Pharmacy System.  Include vendor selection or minimally the verification and validation of preferred vendor.  Person could move into managing a Pharmacy / Pyxis system implementation.

Candidate Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• 5+ years of related project management experience
• Working knowledge of hospital pharmacy environment
• Preference, though not mandatory, given to individual with experience managing retail pharmacy system implementations
• Has a working knowledge of healthcare industry having managed projects in this industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification highly desired
• Preference, though not mandatory, given to individual with experience managing retail pharmacy system implementations
• A plus if background and knowledge of Pyxis System and managing a Pharmacy / Pyxis implementation

Projected Start Date: 2nd quarter 2015 (April -June)

Duration:　 12-15 months
