Role: Performance Improvement Project Manager
The Informatics Group is currently recruiting for a Performance Improvement Project Manager to be responsible for the independent and collaborative management of complex projects supporting the functions of our Quality and Safety First Every Day Programs.
The PI Project Manager will also be responsible for ensuring sound use of project management processes, project reporting, fiscal management, and for the success of projects measured in terms of attaining objectives for project scope, schedule, cost, and quality. Will contribute to the successful implementation and support of enterprise process improvement systems and process solutions that support and further the mission of patient care (as well as research and education). Under the general guidance of the Director of PI & the CSO, works closely with clinicians and other project team members analyzing clinical processes and data, developing patient and end-user requirements and functional specifications, plan and direct project execution through close and transition to operations. Plans, monitors and manages numerous complex projects from initiation through completion simultaneously. Provides leadership and project management for performance improvement activities and groups within the client’s System. Using proven PI and statistical tools and methods, assists in designing projects, designing and coordinating data collection/gathering, completes basic data analysis, reports and interprets data results, develops and implements action plans, documents project and outcomes in written format. Assists in identifying performance improvement opportunities within the organization, prioritizing the opportunities, collaborating with leaders and clinicians, planning and initiating intervention collaboratively and independently, and monitoring the impact.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) required, or may be obtained within the 1st 12 months of employment
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in managing improvement projects
- Minimum of five (5)+ years of experience in healthcare clinical or leadership role
- Experience utilizing advanced improvement science and project management methodologies
- Proven track record of successful projects.
